ABOUT OEC
O’Meara Electrical Consulting, LLC (OEC) was formed in March of 2020 by Mike O’Meara. Mike retired from a career in the electric utility industry that spanned 44 years. He specializes in electric service and metering requirements for new commercial, industrial, and large residential projects. During his career, Mike found that it is not unusual for new construction projects to struggle with how to reconcile the individual requirements of electric codes, building codes, utility requirements, and customer needs. OEC’s desire is to assist the design community during the planning process by researching local utility requirements and making recommendations that help avoid costly delays in the project.
As a result of Mike’s experience with metering requirements and with developing electrical standards, OEC is also able to assist electric utility companies with establishing their own metering requirements, and with writing and enforcing construction standards or conducting training programs.
